Comments: Hello. I have been back to Fermoy 2 times in the past five years and am totally enamoured with it. My dad was born there in 1916 until he joined the army in 1937. He lived at 6 Casement Row on Barracks Hill. I am hopelessly stuck on the Scannell and Moynihan branches of the family bush. His Grandfather John Eastway married twice and we have very little info on those marriages. Thanks for putting the site together, it is great to link in and look at the pictures from time to time. I was in Kilcrumper today visiting my grandparents grave (Shellys) but also looking for leads on my Power connection - found John Power and wife Sarah there (my grt grt grandparents)how do I get back further? They were tailors and his grandson would have been George Power right hand man to Liam Lynch. Also anxious to trace other link Cosgrove (grt grandfather) blacksmith who ran the forge where the pub (The Forge) is now. I would be so grateful for anything!

I am looking for the cemetery where Timothy Murphy and his wife__ Callahan from Fermoy are burried. They had six children __, Daniel, Ellen, __, Margaret b. 1829 who married Patrick Golden of Co. Cork and came to St. Paul, Minnasota, USA.,and Patrick b. 1827 who lived in Wales for a time and emigrated to the USA in 1861. I will be coming to Ireland in the next week and would like to visit Fermoy, the town my great great grandparents lived and died in. Timothy was a farmer and a Roman Catholic as was his wife. This would mean so much to me, as I have been given an opportunity to visit Fermoy and I would appreciate any help you could give me as to locating their grave sites. Comments: Excellent site, my grandfather originaly came from Fermoy, his name was Henry O'Brien, born in 1865 I believe. He emigrated to the States as a young man and later returned to the UK and changed his name to Mason for some unknown reason. I believe there are family links as well to Brennan and Connolly.

Comments: I was in your beautiful city when I visited Ireland several years ago. My grandmother, Mary Fenton, was from Fermoy. She emmigrated to the NY area where she raised a large family & died at 92 yrs. of age (or that's the age she claimed to be). She left 5 children, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren (with more to come). Met the O'Keefe Family while there who are relations.

Please could you pass on my kindest regards to Tom Baker and his wife Virginia; he cut my hair 100's of times and my grandfather's Jim Doyle (former bank manager of the IAB branch in Fermoy). I was in school with Tom and Virginia's son, also Tom Baker (please say hi to him too; I hope he is doing well). The photos I saw of Tom and his wife reminded me of some nice times in Fermoy; both of them looked very well indeed. I left Ireland in 1989...and write this mail to you from Munich, Germany. Please could you pass on my kindest regards to Tom Baker and his wife Virginia; he cut my hair 100's of times and my grandfather's Jim Doyle (former bank manager of the IAB branch in Fermoy).
